The Carolina Bike Rally will be held in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The Rally originally held in the Outer Banks for 7 years has been moved to Onslow County. Steve Winsett, promoter of the Rally and a Vietnam Veteran himself, dedicates his time to supporting our service members and their families. The Rally will serve as a means of raising awareness while showing our support for our Nations Heroes. The proceeds from the event will go to Hope For The Warriors™ and help to ensure that our injured service members and their families’ sacrifices are never forgotten nor their needs unmet. The event will help stimulate the economy of Eastern, NC while bringing people together to support our service members. Jacksonville, North Carolina, Engines will be roaring at this year’s 2009 Carolina Bike Rally scheduled for April 24-26th, amid the sixty acres at Cabin Creek Campground in Jacksonville, NC. Originally known as the “Outer Banks Bike Rally”, this year’s rally has cruised down the coast to Jacksonville, to bring more fun, music, games and vendors to fuel the crowd. The Bike Show, which will be for all classes of motorcycles, along with the “Ride the Crystal Coast” Poker Run, allows bikers to go “all in” on a weekend of fun. Proceeds from the 2009 Carolina Bike Rally will benefit Hope For The Warriors™, a national, non-profit group actively seeking to ensure that the sacrifices of injured and fallen warriors and their families are never forgotten nor their needs unmet. Steve Winsett, promoter of the bike rally says he and fellow promoter Ron Johnson are excited about this year’s event. We will have two poker runs going on simultaneously; one going south from Jacksonville to Wilmington and the other going north from Jacksonville to Morehead City. Folks can choose the route they want. There is no entry fee. We are calling this our ‘stimulus package’. It’s about giving back to the community and supporting our troops. 5th Annual Lt. Kelly Kincaid Memorial Ride

Kelly was a Burke County Deputy and Morganton Firefighter. Kelly passed away while fighting a structure fire. The ride will start at the J. Iverson Riddle Center located at exit 104 off I-40 at 10:30AM. Registration starts at 9:30AM. The mountain scenic route is approx. 175 miles total and will go to Tennessee where we will have lunch and head back. T-shirts are available for $20 and each purchase entitles an entry for the $500 drawing. Riders are responsible for their own meals. Thank You. 6th Annual Fragile X Poker Run

The ride starts and ends at Freeborne’s Eatery & Lodge located at 14300 NC Highway, 18 South or just a mere 50 yards off of the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 248. The 130 mile poker run departs at 10:00 am and will lead you through 3 states via scenic back roads, fun twisties, and sweeping curves including “The Snake”, which encompasses 489 curves in a 12-mile radius. The ride fee is $30 per rider or $45 with passenger which includes an event t-shirt and cookout. The ride ends with a 50/50 drawing, cookout, and charity auction beginning at 4:00 pm. Enjoy refreshments and live music of the Thunder Valley Band at 5:00 pm and help our special guest host Mikey rock all night long! This ride benefits the FRAXA Research Foundation. All riders are welcome.
