The Greater Olean Area Chamber is hosting the 7th annual Rally in the Valley event, August 21-23, 2009 at Bradner Stadium in Olean. The three-day event is a motorcycle rally with the proceeds benefiting a host of community charities: Cattaraugus County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Inc.; Interfaith Caregivers; DARE Program; HomeCare & Hospice; Olean Airport Support Group; Southern Tier Military Support; South Olean Football; and Healthy Families of Cattaraugus. Friday is a kick off to the weekend with a free concert featuring regional band. Games, vendors, food and fun round out the night. A bike parade will be held taking bikes from the Olean Middle School into the Bradner Stadium. Saturday, the event is turned into a street festival with a variety of activities, including bike contests, bands, foods, and vendors. The bike contests include slow ride, tests a rider's balance at a very slow speed in lanes 3 feet wide and 50 ft. long, ball drop passenger tries to place tennis balls on the top of the cones, tire toss passenger tosses bicycle tires on top of these cones, and hot dog the passenger attempts to bite off a dangling hot dog covered in mustard. The bike judging contests include Best Paint, Best Custom, Best Vintage, Best Trike, Best Touring, and more. SUNDAY, the bikes will take to the run and complete an approximate 130-mile Dice Run ending in Olean with a food, music, prizes and more. For more information, please contact GOACC.

Ride takes off at noon and ends at the Elks Lodge (RT 32 Saugerties). $20 per rider $10 passenger. There will be live music, good food, raffles and much more! All bikes are welcome! Don't have a ride? No problem. Your $20 donation to CRC will get you admission to the Elks and includes food, live music, tons of door prizes and more. Children under 12 free admission. The 6th Annual Putnam Community Action Program (CAP) Motorcycle Ride - Sunday, July 25, 2010 - 9:30 AM - Rt. 312 Shopping Center, Brewster, NY (Across from Exit 19 on Rt. 84). Ride through the beautiful Mid-Hudson Valley for the benefit of the hungry and disadvantaged of Putnam County, New York. Putnam Community Action Program is an anti-poverty program dedicated to serving the residents of Putnam County who are struggling to support themselves and/or their families. The ride starts at the Rt. 312 Shopping Center in Brewster, NY. It will end at Sycamore Park in Mahopac, New York. Sheriff escorted.
