Group Ride to Sturgis

The Open Road Pirates motorcycle group is recruiting motorcyclists who are interested in riding from the Carson – Tahoe area to Sturgis on 2009. Our goal is to get as many riders as possible to ride safely to Sturgis in a large group. There is no cost to ride and all types of bikes and automobiles (support vehicles) are welcome. For the return trip riders are on their own, due to riders that want to leave the event at different times and days. We are scheduled to leave on Thursday late afternoon and arrive in Sturgis about noon on Monday. Our route will take us thru Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks with plenty of time to view the sites. Participants are asked to make their own arrangements for accommodations along the route and at Sturgis. This website provides you with suggested places to stay. Below are departure times and locations for the ride. Participants will be able to rendezvous at one of the following locations and times for the beginning of the ride.
