Kenny had both ear drums burst during this time and has almost no hearing at all (with hearing aids). He is in need of a Cochlear implant to restore his ability to hear. All funds collected will go to Kenny for that surgery. As a plea from his family, we just want "Pops" to be able to enjoy life and be a part of our family conversations.

Relay For Life Poker Run

The Cooper County Sheriff's Department is hosting its 3rd annual Relay for Life Poker Run on April 14, 2007. It is approximately 100 miles. Registration time starts at 9:00 am with last bike out at 10:30 am. We will start at the Cooper County Courthouse, 200 Main St. Boonville, Missouri. We will end at WJ's in Boonville with food and beverages (at cost of individual). WJ's will also provide music for entertainment.
Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Pre-registration entry fee is $10.00. Day of the even registration is $15.00. Both prices include one poker hand. Extra poker hands may be purchased for $5.00.
Each year our run is larger and larger. Help us make this the largest one yet! Our goal is to raise $5,000.00 for Relay for Life.

Gates open at 12 noon on Friday 25 May, with free event T-shirts going out to the first 1600 paying folks through the gate. There will be 6 great bands playing live music every night There is a Memorial Day Ceremony to pay tribute to those who gave us our freedom, 2 Poker Runs, 2 days of Bike Field Events, a Bike Show, Wet T, and so much more. Over 20 Vendors are on site with everything imaginable, to include a large variety of food, and what ever your drinking preference is. Plenty of tent camping space (included in the entrance fee). There is raw RV (no electric, no water) camping area separate from the tent camping for a fee of $10. This year we will be raffling off two 4-wheelers. This is the 19th year of this rally, with 2500 in attendance last year, and growing a little every year. Just enough people to be a good rally, not too many to become lost in a crowd. Benefit ride for Rachel House Pregnancy Resource Centers with offices in Lee's Summit, Blue Springs and the Northland.
Ride start is at Lee's Summit Rachel House office 320 NE Tudor Rd. Lee's Summit, MO (816-875-1059) across from LS North HS. Rider check-in and Same-day-registration starting @ 12:00 noon at Ride start location. $25/$20 Rider/Passenger early registration donation.
Riders will be leaving between 1:00 - 1:30 for a leisurely ride east on twisty back roads around Lake Jacomo, out to Grain Valley then to the break stop at the Blue Springs Rachel House office.
There riders will enjoy a cold soft drink, water, and snack, while listening to a live band on stage. All is included for the riders and passengers. Rachel House staff will make available tours of this new Rachel House facility.
Riders will head out on the last leg of the tour by going over Blue Springs Lake Dam, Lakewood Dam, Longview Lake Dam, past Longview Farm and through a one lane bridge. The ride ends in Lee's Summit at the parking lot of First Baptist Church.
At the Ride's End there will be more live music on stage, a cookout picnic dinner and lots of family activities. All is included for riders and passengers.
Invite your non-riding family members to meet you at the Ride's End to enjoy the afternoon's family activities. A moonwalk, cotton candy, and face painting for kids, along with a ride in bike show, food and a Silent Auction will be held. There will be many great merchandise items and services up for bid, with all monies raised going to Rachel House Pregnancy Resource Centers.
