West Dennis,MA
Sponsored by : Blue Knights Massachusetts VI
The Cape Cod & Islands Chapter of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (MA VI) announces that its 32nd Annual Blessing of the Bikes will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2008. Information and updates will be broadcast on PIXY 103 FM Radio. The Blessing will again be held at West Dennis Beach, with the gate opening at 9:30 AM. The on-site, in-place Blessing will occur at Noon, so bikes must plan on being there, registered and parked by 11:45 AM. The participation donation is $5.00, with proceeds going to the Blue Knights to be used for charitable purposes; such as Cape Cod Community College Scholarships, Cape Cod Times Needy Fund and Blue Knights COPSRUN (assisting surviving family members of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty). Refreshments will be available for purchase at the snack bar and numerous vendors set up stands and tables. In past years, up to 1,500 motorcycles traveled from every State in New England to be a part of the Blessing, with an estimated 2,000 - 2,250 people in attendance. Directions to the Blessing and Start of Poker Run: Take Route 6 East to Exit 9A and bear right onto Route 134 South. For a scenic ride take Route 6A to Route 134 South in East Dennis and continue until you pass Route 6. Continue 2 miles to the Route 28 traffic lights, then cross Route 28 onto Swan River Road. At the end of Swan River Road, take a right onto Lower County Road and about 1/2 of a mile later take a left onto Lighthouse Road. When you enter the small rotary circle, the beach entrance is halfway around on the other side of the circle. This entrance will be for motorcycles only; cars should continue around the circle and enter the parking lot on your right, to the left of the snack bar. The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club was formed in the Spring of 1974 in Bangor, Maine, with the MA VI Chapter being formed at the start of 1976. There are presently over 20,000 members in 601 Chapters located in 24 countries around the world; and in the past 17 years alone the Blue Knights have donated approximately $5.3 million in cash, $571,831 in goods, and over 164,980 work hours, for a total worth of over $9.2 million, to more than 1,700 charities, including Concerns Of Police Survivors (COPS), Cystic Fibrosis, Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE), Make-A-Wish, Toys For Tots and many other worthy local charities.

4th Annual Annie's Dash
Foxboro,MA
Sponsored by : Karen Jetté Benson
4th Annual Memorial Motorcycle Rally Fundraiser to Benefit Ovarian Cancer Research. Vendors are Welcome, contact us at vendors@anniesdash.com Outlaw BBQ, Route 1, Foxboro, Mass. Registration 8 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. $20.00/pp. A group of friends of the late Anne LaRosa are once again organizing a memorial motorcycle rally, scheduled for Sunday, August 3rd, 2008, beginning and ending at the Outlaw B-B-Q in Foxboro. This is an event with three goals: to honor Annie's memory, to benefit the Gynecologic Oncology Research Fund at Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center (where Annie was treated) and to raise awareness about ovarian cancer. In the Fall of 2003, Annie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. At 46, Annie had never been sick a day in her life, and now she had to have surgery, followed by multiple cycles of chemotherapy which continued until 2005. Annie fought a long and brave battle but she succumbed to this disease and passed away, surrounded by friends and family, on September 25, 2005, at only 48 years of age. When the bikes return, there will be a pig roast, with all the "fixins", along with raffles, auctions, vendors, biker games and live bands to entertain you. You don't have to ride to join us. Come and show your support and have a great time! If you can't join us and prefer to simply make a donation, please make out your check to "Annie's Dash" and mail it to: Annie's Dash, P.O. Box 86, Walpole, Massachusetts, 02081. Also, if you would like to donate an item or gift certificate for our raffles and/or auctions, please contact me and we can make arrangements to pick up the donation. All profits from Annie's Dash are being donated, in her name and memory, to Caritas St. Elizabeth's Gynecologic Oncology Research Fund and are, therefore, tax-deductible. Please support this event - ovarian cancer is a killer. Funding is needed to improve our ability to diagnose this disease at an earlier stage. Additionally, we need to teach women to be more aware of the disease's symptoms, and to be proactive in getting tested and treated early. Our Run has been endorsed by Dr. Michael A. Steller, Annie's physician and Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology of Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Thank you for your interest and support, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at info@anniesdash.com You may also visit our website.

Blue Knights MA VI 33rd Annual Blessing of the Bikes
West Dennis,MA
Sponsored by : Blue Knights Massachusetts VI
The Cape Cod & Islands Chapter of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (MA VI, http://blueknights.org/ma6) announces that its 33rd Annual Blessing of the Bikes will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2009. Information and updates will be broadcast on PIXY 103 FM Radio. The Blessing will again be held at West Dennis Beach, with the gate opening at 9:30 AM. The on-site Blessing will occur at Noon, so bikes must plan on being there, registered and parked by 11:45 AM. The minimum suggested participation donation is $5.00, with proceeds going to the Blue Knights to be used for charitable purposes; such as our Cape Cod Community College Scholarship, Cape Cod Times Needy Fund and Blue Knights COPSRUN (assisting surviving family members of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty). Refreshments will be available for purchase at the snack bar and numerous vendors set up stands and tables. In past years, up to 1,500 motorcycles traveled from every State in New England to be a part of the Blessing, with an estimated 2,000 - 2,250 people in attendance.
Directions to the Blessing: Take Route 6 East to Exit 9A and bear right onto Route 134 South. For a scenic ride take Route 6A to Route 134 South in East Dennis and continue until you pass Route 6. Continue 2 miles to the Route 28 traffic lights, then cross Route 28 onto Swan River Road. At the end of Swan River Road, take a right onto Lower County Road and about 3/4 of a mile later take a left onto Lighthouse Road.
There are presently over 20,000 members in 615 Chapters located in 28 countries around the world; and in the past 18 years alone the Blue Knights have donated approximately $6.58 million in cash, $602,319 in goods, and over 194,851 work hours, for a total worth of over $11.1 million, to more than 1,700 charities, including Concerns Of Police Survivors (COPS), Cystic Fibrosis, Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE), Make-A-Wish, Toys For Tots and many other worthy local charities.
