Tama County Have A Heart Humane Societys 1st annual Dawg Hawg poker run starting at the V.F.W IN Tama Iowa. Registration starts at 9 a.m. Last bike out at 10:30 registration fee is 15 dollars for single riders and 20 if there is a passenger. It is a 7 stop run, with stops in Tama, Montour, Gladbrook, Traer, Dysart, Clutier and the final stop in Chelsea Iowa. There will be a place to camp in Chelsea withe a hog roast, bands, vendors, games and raffles. There will also be a pre run party on Friday June 1st at the Bumblebees Bar in Toledo Iowa starting at 8. All proceeds are going towards building an animal shelter for abused neglected and stray animals.

There's a roar of thunder and lots of leather as the streets of Downtown Sioux City fill with motorcycles of every kind. It's Awesome Biker Nights, the premier regional motorcycle event with an attendance of over 25,000!
Awesome Biker Nights will be held June 14-16th. Of course, even those who aren't traveling on two wheels are welcome at the event.
Expanded to three days for 2007, Awesome includes outstanding live concerts, motorcycle stunt performances, a poker run through the beautiful countryside, a bike show, tattoo contest, poker tournament, and vendors.
Enthusiastic bikers, beautiful summer weather, lots of food and merchandise vendors and two big stages, all in the unique atmosphere of the Historic Fourth Street District of Downtown Sioux City, make the perfect venue for wonderful weekend of outdoor concerts. The list of previous year's crowd-pleasing, big-time acts include Eddie Money, Firehouse, Vixen, Molly Hatchet, Grand Funk, Warrant, Zwarte, and popular local and regional bands. Awesome will continue to provide outstanding concerts in 2007.
Bigger, better, Awesome just keeps getting better and 2007 will be no exception. This years? raffle offers the winner a CHOICE of 2007's Fatboy, Heritage Classic, His & Hers Sportsters, Softail Custom OR $10,000 cash equivalent. Tickets are $25.00 each with a maximum of 2,500 sold. Drawing will be held during the Saturday night concert.
The big news is the huge contributions that Awesome makes to local charities. Since 2000, total contributions are over $297,000, with the biggest recipient being the St. Florian Burn and Fire Foundation. This years? charities will once again benefit St. Florian, plus the Siouxland Red Cross, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Mary Elizabeth Day Care, Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, Mary J. Treglia Community House, Three Rivers Cosmopolitan Club, Friends of Latham Park, March of Dimes and the Alzheimer?s Association.
Poker Run registration begins at 9:00am on Saturday in the 4th Street Historic District. Registration costs are: Pre-Registration by June 1 for $30.00, after June 1 $35.00 and passenger rides for $15.00.
The fee includes gate admission to the downtown area and all entertainment. Total Poker Run Prize Package is estimated at $2000.00 with First Place at an estimated $800.00 and paying down to 10th Place. Those not registered for the run will pay a $10.00 admission fee for the weekend.
Motorcycle enthusiasts with all makes and models of bikes are welcome, along with the general public. Experience it. It's AWESOME!

Wallace Winkie 4 County Poker Run

The Wallace Winkie 4-County Poker Run, sponsored by Belle Plaine Historical Society, is a hundred-mile ride through 4 counties. The route starts at the Belle Plaine Area Museum, 901 12th Street, Belle Plaine, Iowa. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the museum. Riders leave town starting at 10 a.m. and must return by 4 p.m.
Registration fee is $5, which includes one poker hand. Extra cards can be purchased. Prizes for winning poker hand and other drawings, including a 50/50. A pancake breakfast is open to participants and public for $4 donation. The ride is a fundraiser for Belle Plaine Museum.

This event is held at the North Iowa Fairgrounds on Highway 122 in Mason City, Iowa in the All-Seasons and Olson Buildings. Hours are: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10a.m. to 3p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 each day ($4 for ABATE and SMRO members) with children under 12 admitted free. 2-day passes also available. We have a wide variety of vendors (mainly motorcycle related). Bike Show both days which consists of 21 classes including a kids class for ages 13 and under. Tattoo contest Saturday. Beard contest on Sunday.
