3rd Annual Motorcycle Awareness Ride

Twelve Ozarks area motorcycle riding organizations will join together on April 18th to lead the 3rd Annual Motorcycle Awareness ride through the Ozarks. The theme of the ride is “Can You See Me Now?” The area riding groups represented are: American Legion Riders, Bad Examples, Bikers Against Child Abuse, Bikers Against Dumb Drivers, Christian Motorcycle Association, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, Freedom of the Road Riders, Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Gold Wing Touring Association, Lady Cruisers of the Ozarks, Ozarks Bikers, and Springfield Retreads. The ride starts at Remington’s parking lot, 1655 W Republic Road, Springfield, MO. Registration will begin at 12:30 with the ride starting at 1:30 p.m. The 75 mile route will proceed from Remington’s through the towns of Nixa, Ozark, Springfield, Willard, Republic, and end at American Legion Post 639, 2660 S Scenic in Springfield, MO. A shorter route will be ridden in the event of inclement weather. There is no cost for participation and free T-shirts will be provided as available. There will be food and drinks available at the end point and music by Tuck & Abney. All bikes are welcome. Contact Larry Tuck or Curtiss Moore at 417-830-6900.

5th Annual Ride for Rachel House

The 5th Annual Ride for Rachel House will be on Saturday June 26th with Same Day Rider Registration 9:00 am at the Ride Start Location 320 NE Tudor Rd. (across from LS North H.S.) in the Lee’s Summit Rachel House parking lot. The $25 Rider donation will all go to financially support the Rachel House Pregnancy Resource Centers. Thanks to our sponsors who provide each with a Event T-shirt, Ride Patch, Food, Cold Drinks, Door Prizes and Live Music. Riders will leave at 10:00 am for a 100 mile route on Missouri country roadways with a scheduled break stop mid-route, then returning to the Lee’s Summit Rachel House Office parking lot for activities, lunch and live music.
