4th Annual 911 Remembrance Ride

Let’s Roll! This ride is a tribute to remember those who lost their lives on 9-11-2001 and for the brave men and women of the armed forces who are fighting for us today to keep us safe. Ride date: Saturday, September 11, 2010. Free registration starts at Bayshore High School, 5401 34th St. West, Bradenton, FL. 34210, corner of 53rd Ave. W. (S.R.70) and 34th St. W. Registration is at the high school from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 pm. (a signed waiver/registration form is required) The fully escorted ride leaves from the high school parking lot at 6:00 p.m. Special thanks to the Manatee Sheriff’s Dept. for the escort. Manatee County Parks and Recreation for use of the park, The City of Bradenton Beach and the assistance of all County and City officials who have assisted with this event. The ride will exit the parking lot turn right on 34th St. W., turn left at 53rd Ave. W. proceed to the 75th St.W. roundabout and head north on 75th St.W. At the Cortez Rd.W. and 75th St.W. intersection turning left, west on Cortez Rd.W. At Gulf Drive South turn left, continue to the southern Coquina Beach parking lot. Special thanks to the Manatee County Parks Dept. for opening up the beach parking lot to us. This is a police escorted ride and all motorcyclists are encouraged to come out and support this event. The general public is encouraged to sit along the route on the sidewalks and cheer the bikers on! This is an open event open to all motorcycles and bike clubs. (This is a motorcycle ride only). 13th Annual Great Teddy Bear Run

This charity event will benefit KIDS by the SEA, a local non-profit, serving children with cancer in our area since 1982. Every year we have a police escorted parade with a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal strapped to our bike and end at the Sarasota Fairgrounds for a big party with lots of food and fun. For $15 and a stuffed animal for charity, you gain entrance to the parade and event which includes your barbecue dinner, soda and water. Beer by the glass will be available for a reasonable donation. There will be lots of seating for dining both inside the Arena and outside in a huge tent. So rain or shine we will still do the event and have a great time! Once at the fairgrounds there will be Chinese and silent auctions, a 50/50 drawing, a judged bike show, motorcycle rodeo sponsored by the Manatee River HOG Chapter and live music all day. This year there will be even more vendors! There are other surprises being lined up! All bikers and bike clubs and the general public are invited. The public is encouraged to watch the parade proceed down Honore Avenue and Fruitville Rd. leaving 11:30 a.m. from the mall parking lot at University Center. There are Great Teddy Bear Run event T-shirts, with the Famous Biker Bear Logo available at registration or pre-order. We meet at The Shoppes at University Center mall, corner of University Parkway and I-75 exit #213 in Sarasota, Florida, Sunday morning the 14th of November. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 11:15 a.m. We leave in a police escorted parade at 11:30 a.m. to go to the Sarasota Fairgrounds. Tickets are on sale at Rossiter’s Harley Davidson in Sarasota and at Manatee River Harley Davidson off SR 64 in Bradenton NOW, to pre-register and pre-registration will be available online after Labor Day. The Pre-registration/advance price is $10 per person if paid for at the dealerships or mailed in and postmarked by 11-6-2010. The event is open to all bikers / all bike clubs and the general public.
