Frank's Ride for Children 25th Anniversary Poker Run

Online Registration Available. Come join us for a milestone year as “Frank’s Ride for Children” celebrates our 25th Anniversary Poker Run to raise money for Colorado children. “Frank’s Ride” is one of Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado’s largest and longest running fundraisers. This event has raised enough money to grant wishes for nearly 100 children in Colorado. The event begins with breakfast and registration at the American Legion Post #32, followed by a 100-mile road trip through northern Colorado with stops in small towns along the way to collect a poker hand. The last stop at Anderson Farms, located at Weld County Road 3 ¼ and Highway 52, includes a pig roast, BBQ beef, sides, and beverages. Along with plenty of food and drink at the last stop, there will live entertainment, drawings and door prizes. About the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado: The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since its inception in 1983, the Foundation has granted more than 3,100 wishes to eligible Colorado children.

Moebius Syndrome is a rare neurological condition in which the 6th and 7th cranial nerves are missing or incomplete, resulting in a lack of facial expression (they can't smile, blink or move their eyes laterally). Other cranial nerves are often involved, each causing complications that impact health and well being. Moebius Syndrome Foundation holds national conferences in different parts of the US every two years. In planning for the conference, we are now requesting your support. 24th Annual D.A.V. Ride for Veterans

This is a five-card old-school poker run to surrounding VFW and American Legion lodges where you can socialize with veterans and see the countryside. The ride ends at High Country where food and beverages will be included with your fee of $20. Registration at High Country 9:30-11:00am. First bike out 10:30am unless going to breakfast at Platteville VFW, the first stop. Registration & breakfast ($6 donation - please make checks payable to "DAV 16"). Alternatively at Platteville VFW 9:30-11:00am. First bike out 11:00am. Last hand in 2:30pm at High Country. Winners announced at 2:45pm. Food served from 1:30-3:00pm.
